Application Range: This instrument is suitable for measuring the grounding resistance of various devices and the low resistance values of conductors in sectors such as power, telecommunications, railways, petroleum, chemical, communications, and mining. It can also measure soil resistivity and ground voltage.
Working Principle: The instrument operates by converting DC to AC low-frequency constant current using an internal DC/AC converter. This current flows through an auxiliary grounding electrode (C) and the object under test (E) to form a circuit, generating an AC voltage drop across the object. This voltage drop is then transmitted via the auxiliary grounding electrode (P) to an AC amplifier, amplified, rectified, and finally displayed on the meter. Using the range selection switch, three different measurement ranges are available: 0-2Ω, 0-20Ω, 0-200Ω, and 0-2000Ω.
