KJBD-803A Relay Protection Tester

Applications:

This device employs a high-speed, high-performance digital control processor as the control microcomputer, and applies double-precision algorithms in software to generate high-accuracy waveforms of any phase. Thanks to its integrated structure, all components are closely combined with short data transmission distances, making the structure compact. It overcomes the issue of fewer output waveform points due to long data communication lines and narrow bandwidth in laptop-controlled measuring instruments.

High-speed, high-resolution D/A converters are utilized to ensure accuracy and linearity of current and voltage across the entire range. Due to the high resolution and fitting density of the D/A conversion, waveform distortion and harmonic content are minimal, imposing low requirements on low-pass filters, thereby achieving excellent transient response, phase-frequency characteristics, and amplitude-frequency characteristics. This makes it easy to implement precise phase shifting, harmonic superposition, and maintain high accuracy at high frequencies.

Profile:

For each phase's current and voltage, instead of using step-up transformers, direct output methods are adopted, allowing current and voltage sources to directly output waveforms ranging from DC to those containing various frequency components, such as square waves, composite waveforms with superimposed harmonics, fault transient waveforms, etc., effectively simulating current and voltage characteristics during various short-circuit faults.

The power amplifier circuit uses imported high-power, high-fidelity modular power devices for the power output stage, coupled with a carefully designed cooling structure, providing ample power margin and thermal capacity. The power amplifier circuit includes comprehensive protection against overheating, overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuits. When overcurrent occurs in the current loop or overload or short circuit happens in the voltage loop, the output power is automatically limited, shutting down the entire power amplifier circuit and displaying an alarm signal. To prevent overheating of the power amplifier circuit during prolonged operation under high currents, the device has implemented software time limits for high currents. The device can operate continuously for outputs up to 10A; when the current exceeds 10A, the software time limit is activated, and upon expiration, the software automatically shuts off the power output and issues an alarm indication. The greater the output current, the shorter the time limit.

Features:

Standard 4-phase voltage and 3-phase current output:
The device provides 4-phase voltage and 3-phase current outputs, enabling convenient combination for various types of protection tests. Each phase voltage can output up to 120 V, and the three current phases in parallel can deliver up to 120 A. The fourth voltage phase (Ux) is a multifunctional voltage channel that can be configured as one of four types of 3U₀, synchronization-check voltage, or any arbitrary user-defined voltage value.

Convenient standalone operation:
The unit features an intuitive rotary mouse for flexible control via a large-screen LCD display, with a fully Chinese-language interface. It can perform most on-site testing and calibration tasks, including verification of various relays and microprocessor-based protection devices, and can simulate complex transient, permanent, and conversion-type faults for complete group testing. Ready to use immediately after power-on, it offers fast and easy operation.

Dual operation modes – standalone or PC-connected:
When connected to a PC running comprehensive Chinese-language software on the Windows platform, the device supports large-scale, complex, and highly automated calibration tasks. It enables convenient testing and scanning of protection settings, real-time data storage, vector diagram display, fault waveform plotting, online report printing, and more.

Powerful software capabilities:
The software supports highly automated, complex calibration tasks such as three-phase differential testing, plant auxiliary power fast transfer, automatic bus transfer (ABT) testing, line protection synchronization-check reclosing, etc. It allows easy testing and scanning of protection settings, fault playback, real-time data logging, vector diagram visualization, and online report generation.

Abundant digital I/O contacts:
Equipped with 7 digital input channels and 2 pairs of isolated dry contact outputs. Input contacts support both dry contacts and potential contacts (0–250 V) and can intelligently auto-recognize the type. Both inputs and outputs can be expanded according to user requirements.

Large LCD display:
Features a high-resolution 320×240 dot-matrix graphical LCD screen. All operational settings and test results are displayed in Chinese, offering an intuitive and clear user interface.

Built-in self-protection:
Incorporates a rationally designed cooling structure and reliable, comprehensive protection mechanisms, including soft-start power supply and built-in fault self-diagnosis with blocking functions.

Dedicated independent DC power output:
Includes one adjustable dedicated DC power output channel supporting both 110 V and 220 V.

High cost-performance ratio:
This product results from interdisciplinary collaborative design, integrating advanced technologies from multiple fields. It delivers performance comparable to large-scale test systems while maintaining the affordability of compact testers, offering exceptional value for money.
