During excitation characteristics/voltage-ampere characteristic tests, the device can output voltages from 0 to 1000V and currents from 0 to 20A. This makes it suitable for conducting excitation characteristics/voltage-ampere characteristic tests on instrument transformers with voltage ratings below 110kV and a current rating of 1A.
