This comprehensive system complies with the general technical conditions specified in the Chinese electric power industry standards "DL/T849.1-2019 to DL/T849.3-2019" for specialized testing instruments of electrical equipment. The system consists of four parts: a system distance measuring host, a multi-pulse generator, a precision locator, and a cable path instrument. It is used for testing various faults in power cables, detecting cable paths, and measuring the depth at which cables are buried. The system covers precise testing of faults in power cables, railway and airport signal control cables, and street lighting cables.

The core technology of the multi-pulse method in the Intelligent Multi-Pulse Cable Fault Tester has revolutionized traditional testing methods. It effectively addresses the issue of waveform recognition for high-resistance faults, which was previously challenging. Using the multi-pulse generator, any complex high-resistance waveform can be transformed into a familiar and easily recognizable low-voltage pulse short-circuit fault waveform. This breakthrough solves the long-standing problem users faced in identifying complex high-resistance fault waveforms, significantly improving the crucial preliminary location phase of cable fault testing.

The host can automatically select from six sampling frequencies ranging from a minimum of 6.25MHz to a maximum of 200MHz, with adaptive pulse width.
